Scouting for Food is an ongoing annual program of the Boy Scouts of America begun in 1985 by the Greater Saint Louis Area Council that collects food for local food banks. It is organized at the local level throughout the country. Scouting for Food is a project rooted in the very foundation of the Scouting movement and its dedication to implement the Scout slogan and do good turn daily.
Our Scouting For Food Campaign benefits families in need for Oxford... We have many families in the community that struggle to put healthy meals on the table each day. The food we provide and solicit out in the community goes to the Oxford Food Shelf at the community center and usually will provide our community with enough food for about a week. I have also heard coffee is a big item that is requested.
Please consider not only helping the Pack collect in Oxford on 11/5 but also making a donation yourself and make a family in need able to take a breath because of the generosity of our community.
Yours In Scouting,
